Leadership
Tee Ray
President / Owner
ISA Certified Arborist KY-0125A
Tee Ray is the fourth generation of the Ray family to care for Louisville’s trees, a tradition that began when his great-grandfather Thomas Ray opened his landscape business in 1916. Tee grew up working alongside his father, Bob Ray, who founded Bob Ray Co. in 1960, and his grandfather Carl Ray. He took over operations in 1986 and purchased the company in 1992. Under his leadership, Bob Ray Co. has grown into a TCIA-accredited company and expanded into Chip Trucking and Natural Products. An ISA Certified Arborist (KY-0125A), Tee still shares the passion for trees that has defined his family for more than a century.
Jamie Draper
Operations Manager
Jamie Draper oversees daily operations across every Bob Ray Co. division and is especially hands-on with the Land Clearing Division. He keeps crews, equipment and schedules running smoothly, and he champions the company’s safety culture. In a 2025 Tree Care Industry Magazine feature, Jamie described how mechanization, including grapple trucks with custom 60-yard beds, has expanded the company’s capacity for large land-clearing projects while cutting manual handling and injury risk for crews. When customers have a large or complex project, Jamie is the person making sure it gets done safely and efficiently.
